The North Central Coast Bodyboarders (NCCB) is thrilled to announce the launch of the Boog Academy, a brand new program designed specifically for young riders who are just starting out on their bodyboarding journey and may not be ready for competitive divisions.

Recognizing the importance of fostering a love for the sport from a young age, the NCCB has created the Boog Academy as a safe and supportive environment for beginners to learn and grow. Led by experienced club members on competition days (conditions permitting), the Academy will provide young riders with the opportunity to:

• Develop fundamental skills: Learn essential techniques such as paddling, catching waves, and water safety.

• Gain confidence in the water: Overcome any initial apprehension and build confidence in their ability to ride waves.

• Have fun and make friends: Enjoy a social and supportive environment while learning from experienced riders and making new friends.

The Boog Academy is more than just a series of lessons; it's about fostering a passion for the sport and creating a lifelong love for the ocean. We believe that by providing a fun and supportive learning environment, we can inspire the next generation of bodyboarders and ensure the continued growth of our club.
